Belfast Butterfly Club

Our Mission Statement

The Belfast Butterfly Club is a support network for transgendered people and their families. By providing education and information, we seek to increase awareness, overcome discrimination and achieve equality.

About Us

The Belfast Butterfly Club prides itself on providing a safe and friendly place in which any trans person can be their authentic selves and share any problems and issues they may be having.  The group meets weekly and does not discriminate against anyone within the trans spectrum, all are welcome.
The Belfast Butterfly Club was founded in September 1991, growing out of the former Belfast TV/TS Group run under the auspices of the Carafriend organisation. Since becoming a formally constituted independent body it has moved to recognised charitable status in 1993 and is a longtime member of the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action and became affiliated to the Gender Trust in Britain.
